A Wedding and a Great Friend
A friend of mine from nursing school got married this past Saturday. I usually despise weddings because I think the amount of money put into them is just absurd, but I really did enjoy this one. Simple, sweet, and beautiful. Yummy food too! I'm not usually a cryer, but a few tears did flow down my face when my friend got choked up on his vows. I don't know what it is about a guy crying, but it just breaks my heart! Anyways, I went to the wedding with my best friend, Rachel. We don't get to see each other too much so it is always nice to get together with her. I only have one picture from the day so here it is...she said I make her look tan. I told her that's why I stay so pale, so she can look so tan. Ha! I'm also including some pictures of us through the years...
Brett's Wedding Day
1st semester of nursing school. We had no idea what we were getting into. I look like I just had botox too. (I was on Accutane, the miracle drug, and could hardly move my dried up face.)
2nd semester in clinicals
3rd semester
Induction to Sigma Theta Tau. Yes, we were overachievers. But aren't those the only nurses you would want to have?? Oh and this is also what I look like 20lbs heavier :)
Our best nursing school buds - Brett (the newlywed) and Derek. Our nicknames for them were toilet and bedpan. We don't know why though. Maybe because they made fun of me for 2 years after an incident that happened to me during my first clinical, I don't know!
Yahoo! Graduation! Although we weren't nurses, yet. Still had to take boards. But it was still an accomplishment and yes, we both passed boards:)

Hey Kelly! Yep, that was me :-) We see Dr. Leeper @ BCC. He's great & funny :-) Love the stroller - I was wondering if you had twins when u pushed them through. :-) Your little ones are too cute. Maybe I'll see you in the dr's office... if not, at one of the POTATO meetings?? (that is when I can make it!) Thanks for saying hi on the blog!
