Rachel & Keaton

I finally got brave enough to meet my BFF, Rachel, and her son, Keaton, by myself in public. I've been wanting to for awhile, but as anyone with babies knows, it is quite the challenge to get out and about with 2 little ones. It was me, Rach, and 3 babies under 2 years old! We had a great time. We met at a consignment sale, did a little shopping, ate at Rafferty's, and then went to the mall and rode the train. Hutch, Anniston, and Keaton LOVED the train! They did not want to get off! Unfortunately we have no pics from the train ride, as there were no free hands, but we did get some at the restaurant. I saw the look of fear in the waiter's eyes as we walked to our table.....but they really all acted great! I won't say the floor was clean, but there was no yelling, screaming, or temper tantrums thrown.
Just a few years ago Rachel and I were slaving away in nursing school dreaming of having babies......now we are living the dream! Keaton was born about 2 weeks before I got pregnant, so they are only about 9 months apart in age. Now the only thing that would make it better is if we lived closer. Hey, it could happen one day!!!

WHAT? It seems that things tragic either happen in slow motion or too quickly and vaguely to even realize what is going on. I'm not sure which is better but the latter happened to me recently. June 5th to be exact. I won't go into details (for your benefit, not that I mind), but after a series of events, tests, and a doctor's visit, it was determined that I had suffered a miscarriage. I've decided to make my blog private for security reasons. As of now ANYONE in the world can view it and that scares me since I put some pretty personal details on here. My Dark Day

It happened exactly 3 years ago. I woke up crying. I never cry. I went on about my morning with my two 4 year olds at home. Made breakfast, brushed teeth, all the usual. But I couldn't stop crying. "Mommy, why are you crying?" I heard over and over. They had never seen me cry. All I could say was, "I don't know." My heart was racing, I had a sense of confusion all around me. I didn't know what was going on. I called Brandon at work, still crying. "Come home. I'm really upset and I don't know why." Considering the fact that I literally NEVER cried, he knew it was a big deal and came home right away. My mother in law came and got the kids. And I kept crying.
