Favorite Things

Even though my babies don't NEED any more toys, that's not to say they don't WANT any more toys. After Anniston's first Rocephin injection she was so upset that we couldn't get in the car immediately. There is a chidlren's consignment store conveniently located just below the pediatrician's office so we hung out in there until she calmed down. My mom found this little chair and showed it to the babies and there was no way we were leaving without it. OK, I'll rephrase that. There was no way we were leaving without the chair AND without a temper tantrum. Anniston was already upset, so I bought it for her as a gift for being so brave with her shot. Well, guess who has taken over the chair? Hutch won't even let her on it for a second. He sits in it every morning while drinking his sippy cup of milk. It's just adorable! It has a little night stand attached with a lamp, clock, and book. He always turns on the lamp and checks the time before his morning milk, and if there is time, he reads the book.

It looks like she is giving him a hug, but it's just a trick to try to get him off of the chair.

Trick not working, Anniston!

I had to intervene and quit taking pictures at this point!

As you all know by now, Anniston is quite the monkey. She climbs on anything and everything, which would be fine, except that I am afraid she will fall once she is on her perch. She never has, and seems to be able to get down by herself just fine, but I'm not sure she knows all the aspects of gravity just yet, so I am doing a lot of "removing her from the situation" these days, as she thinks the word, "NO," is hilarious. She just grins and laughs when I tell her that. Oh how I hope she outgrows this. Enjoy the pics of our little monkey!
