4 weeks post op

It's been 4 weeks since my surgery and I wanted to give an update. It really was an easy surgery. It was outpatient and I really never felt any pain. I took my pain pills around the clock to be sure of it. It wasn't like I was the most comfortable I have ever been but definitely no intense pain.

I never went through any major grieving of my fertility this time, most likely because I had already done that 5 years ago. I signed the "sterility" papers for the 2nd time in my life. Not sure the first ones really counted.....

When I went for my two week follow up appointment with my doctor, she said, "If you get pregnant again, I'm writing a case study on you!" I have a picture to prove that the connection between my ovaries and uterus is obliterated. I am going to attach the picture but in an effort to hide it from those who wish not to see, you will have to scroll down for it. It's not gross to me, but I am a nurse and these things interest me. It's not bloody but it's very graphic. My doctor also found adhesions when she got inside, most likely from my c-section. I had been having some unusual pains in my abdomen and that explains it perfectly. She released the adhesions and then proceeded to do what she went in to do.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for me and brought me food and gifts. Your love and generosity was definitely felt and appreciated by me!!

Much Love,

Kelly

After surgery, loopy but ok!!

Keep scrolling!

Keep Scrolling......

OK, if you scroll a little more, you will see a very graphic picture. It is looking in from the front side of me through my belly button. You can see my uterus, it is the pink oval shaped organ you can clearly see. To the left and down and to the right and down, you can see my ovaries. They are white almond shaped. The right one (on the left when looking at the pic) is easier to see. Usually the fallopian tubes come up and out to the side of the ovaries and connect back up to the uterus. You can see in the picture that where the fallopian tubes once were, it is cauterized and looks white. Pic below!
