It's been awhile....
Please excuse my lack of posting. I recently read in a parenting book that the age in life where we have the most energy EVER is age 3. And I have two 3 year olds. Enough said!
Summer has just begun but we've been very busy!! Hutch and Anniston have both completed swimming lessons and we are anxious to get back in the pool to practice what they have learned. They recently started back to summer MDO and we've also had VBS at our church.
Hutch is fully recovered from his tonsillectomy and I have GREAT news.....he MAY not have asthma! Let me explain. We went for a check up with our allergist and Hutch was able to do the "blow the leaves off the tree" test and passed with flying colors. 97 or above on every aspect, and over 80% is "normal". And he didn't even blow as hard into the contraption as he could have. He was being shy and after the test he blew into it so hard that I know he would have gotten 100% on all his tests. So we have cut his asthma treatment medication to 1/2 of the usual dose for him and we will then re-evaluate in 6 months. It was found that Hutch had quite infectious tonsils on the back side where no one could have seen until they were removed. This can cause asthma-like symptoms so now that the tonsils are gone, we may be asthma free. If he does well at his 6 mo checkup then we will go med-free for 6 months and do a final evaluation to see if he is cleared of the asthma.
Anniston has big news...she got her ears pierced! I'll admit, I've been trying to get her to do it by making it look appealing, even to go as far as getting another set of earrings myself. After her 3rd attempt, she was SO brave and sat so still and DID NOT CRY. This is my drama queen and I am still so shocked!
She also recently went to her first race at the fairgrounds and much to my chagrin, she loved it. I had to go pick Hutch up early, but she stayed on!
We will be travelling to Destin in October for my sister to get MARRIED on the BEACH! She recently got engaged and Anniston will be the flower girl :)
