It's about time!

Yes, I know I have been a slacker on the blog. I have two excuses - don't worry, they are really good ones: #1. Hutch Henry and #2. Anniston Copeland. Anyways, we have had a pretty busy last 6 weeks or so since I really updated last.

We went to my mom's parent's house for the 4th of July for our annual get-together there. It was Hutch and Anniston's first time to go and they had a great time, especially after they saw a cat. They kept going up to it and doing their sign for cat :) Hutch had a good time on the tractor with Gigi too!

We also took them to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time with my cousin, Laura, and her family. They had fun, except for the carousel. They ride the one at the mall every time we are there and it is fairly decent. The one at CEC is small and slow. The entire time they were riding on it, Hutch was doing his sign for all done, as if to say, "this is it?" Hilarious!

Mamur came for a visit one day.....and Hutch and Anniston would not look at the camera.

We celebrated cousin Jayden's 2nd birthday

We usually go to the library for storytime once a week. At the end all the kids can sit on the stage while "What a Wonderful World" plays. H & A are now big enough to join in!

We have been swimming at Nona and Grumps' house quite a few times!

We went to Gigi and Pops' condo in Fairfield Glade and while in the general area, we visited the Knoxville Zoo and rode a camel - fed some too!!! It was an awesome zoo and we will be back soon b/c we didn't even get to see everything and we were there all day!

We also went to a petting farm near our house a few times.....

Grumps and Daddy made them a really nice play area outside. It still lacks the fence, but other than that it is complete! They love it but we don't use it much right now due to the heat. But when fall comes, that is where we will be!

In other news.....I am proud to say that Hutch and Anniston are now pacifier free! WOOHOO!!!! I've tried to only let them have it at bedtime, but that just didn't work for us. We went to Build-A-Bear Workshop a couple weeks ago and put their pacifiers in a rabbit and a dog. So, they can still sleep with them and have them whenever they want......but not really. Mean, I know. BUT they are now officially talking!! Which is the reason I took them away. They were literally addicted to those darn things, which was delaying their speech. They are now using as many words as they are signs. And they are so much cuter without their mouths covered up!

Oh yeah, and our NEW van got broken into last Friday night when we went to see Uncle Brent play softball. RIDICULOUS! We have had the van about a month (more on that later). Hutch's window was busted but not only that, they window frame was bent. Nothing was taken, as there was nothing TO take, but we think they were just gonna try to get in to snoop, accidentally broke the glass, and ran. Who knows? It still upsets me and it so inconvenient...and expensive! UGH!
Anyways, I always said I would NEVER get a van, but I caved in and I'm glad I did b/c I LOVE it! I'm so ready to get it back tomorrow. There is tons of room in it and the DVD player doesn't hurt, either. I got a Honda Odyssey Touring and it's the greatest thing. My Nissan Murano went out on me twice in busy intersections and I just did not feel safe driving it, especially with the babies. I'll never drive anything but a Honda again! The picture is blurry since it was taken with my phone, but I think they like the van, don't you??

Well, that's all, folks. That is about all we've been up to lately. Here are a couple more pictures to make you smile :-)
