Catching Up

I guess it is about time I make a new post for any of you who regularly check here. Things have been busy, although I don't really know why because we haven't been anywhere or done anything really. So what is new? Hmmm....

Hutch is trying SO hard to talk, we just don't always know what he is saying. He has added a few new words to his vocabulary including "os" (socks), "oose" (shoes), "baba" (blankie), yep, and cup. He has also become quite the climber. His favorite thing to do is climb up on the couch and try to dive off one of the sides of it. NOT GOOD when you have hardwood! Luckily he has not been successful in his diving attempts...yet. When I see him try to climb onto the couch I tell him NO. He chuckles, gives me the cutest grin you've ever seen, and then continues. When we are in public he wants to run wild without holding anyone's hand. And if you try to hold him or his hand he throws a FIT. I am at my wit's end on discipline because I've tried everything I know to do - distraction, removing from the situation, a firm NO, time out (for one minute only) in the crib (he loves this BTW) when at home, etc, etc. Nothing works. Oh another new thing is that he likes to slap me in the face and pinch my neck. He laughs the whole time he does it too. It doesn't really hurt, but of course I don't want him to think it is OK to slap people in the face! He got his first "spanking" yesterday. When he hit me in the face I tapped the top of his little hand. I was trying to get him to sleep at the time so it's not like I could just distract him. Finally I just ignored him and he went to sleep.

Now onto the princess. She has toned it down some with the climbing. Her "bubba" has taken over the position of climber...for now. Much to Gigi's delight, her new word is Gigi, and she uses it often. She also says "wewewewe" and "aye aye aye aye". She is a character! She is a great sleeper. She will sleep from 8p-7a and then 9-11a and 230-430p. (Hutch not so much). I guess she is getting her beauty sleep, but we all know she doesn't need that!
She busted her front frenum connecting her upper lip to her gum and it was a gory sight. LOTS of blood. She was crawling out of her house (tent) and her right arm slipped and she face planted. Luckily she had her pacifier in and that is probably the only reason she still has her 2 front teeth, although after taking her to the dentist he said one was a little loose. He thinks it will tighten back up on its own though. She was going to have to get her frenum clipped but she did it hersefl! It caused a big gap between her 2 front teeth, which she still has, but now when her permanent teeth come in the gap will be closed.
She has a few new signs as well - monkey, world, cup. She waves goodbye to Daddy every morning and sometimes even cries when he leaves. They both stand by the front window and watch him as he drives off. So cute!

And what you really came for, the pictures!

Watching daddy mow the grass

He went and got his mower and mowed the house while Daddy mowed the lawn:)

In the big rocking chair at the Factory with Uncle Mikey

Let me explain...we went to the carnival and then the mall. We had to go get Brandon in Frankin before going home and I knew they would fall asleep on the way home, so I just brought their pjs with me. We put them on in the bathroom at the mall. Well, we had to get back to the car, so Hutch had to wear his shoes over his pjs. HAHAHAHA

Aunt Kimmy and The Girl - she wore her shoes with her pjs too but it wasn't quite as funny looking.
