Fab 5 Friday

Well, I've decided to join the bandwagon and do the Fab 5 Friday, which consists of 5 tangible things that have made my life a lot better or just things that I couldn't live without. I'll try to do a similar post every Friday. TRY is the key word here.

#1. Pampers Clean & Go wipes - I needed a good wipe for germs on hands that I could also use on bottoms. Luckily I found these! Regular baby wipes aren't really for cleaning germs away and alcohol based wipes for cleaning hands are not suitable for children under 2....but theses wipes do both jobs safely and effectively! They are for bottoms and the germs on hands. We go through lots of these when we are out in public and before every meal.
#2. NUK Genius Pacifiers - I have 2 pacifier junkies, although I am trying to wean them from it; however, I'm all for them at nap and bed times. If either has a meltdown when we are in public or in the car, though, all I have to do is pop one of these in a mouth and all is quiet....
#3. Brothers Freeze Dried Fruit - My mom introduced these to us, and the babies LOVE them! They are very healthy and when all else fails they will eat this fruit. It's a little overpriced but very worth it to us!

#4. This dress! - As I was walking through Belk on Tuesday to get to my car, I noticed THE CUTEST dress ever! They only had one and it was a size 1, which I usually can wear, so I bought it without trying it on about 30 seconds after seeing it (quick Easter dress shopping, huh?). Of course, with my luck, it was a tad too small. I could have pulled it off but I really needed the size 3, which I knew they didn't have. So I took it back yesterday and was just gonna wear last year's Easter dress again this year (no one would have even noticed....all people notice now are my babies). I was telling the cashier how upset I was that they didn't have any more, and she told me to look in the little girls' section b/c they had the same dress. So I went and got a size 16!! I was SOO excited! It was cheaper too! Doesn't make any sense to me why a 16 in girls would be bigger than a 1 in juniors but oh well! P.S. It is NOT as short on me as it is on the model, although we do have a similar skin color :)

#5. Kashwere blanket - Hutch got this as a gift from Brandon's friend, Charlie, when he was about 2 months old. Actually Hutch got a blue one and Anniston got the white one, which she has graciously given to Hutch. Starting at about 6 months Hutch will not go to sleep without Blankie (the white one). I've finally started letting him sleep with it through the night. Until now I would wait until he fell asleep and then go take it away for fear of SIDS. Anyways, Charlie got him another one for his birthday, the EXACT same one, but he only wants the original (yes, I've tried to roughen it up with no success)! I tried to wash the original one night after I took it away from him but he woke up while it was in the dryer and wouldn't go back to sleep without it so I had to give it to him wet! Now it only gets washed in between nap times or not at all :) And unfortunately the new one is being ignored.
